Gloster Digital partnered with ASCon Systems GmbH to deliver a cutting-edge, modular platform that enables real-time monitoring, control, and visualization of industrial environments. Working as embedded teams, Gloster helped modernize ASCon’s software stack, introduced no-code design tools, and implemented live-data interaction layers—accelerating ASCon’s deployment in high-profile industrial projects, including work with BMW and Daimler. The collaboration not only met technical requirements but also provided strategic agility, scalability, and long-term value.
ASCon Systems GmbH is a Germany-based technology firm specializing in digital factory automation, Industrial Digital Twins, and real-time operational systems. Their clients span automotive, manufacturing, and utilities.
ASCon aimed to build a next-gen industrial platform to support live configuration, simulation, and control of factory operations—but faced constraints with legacy technology, limited internal capacity, and fast-moving client demands.
Gloster embedded agile development teams directly into ASCon’s organization to co-design and deliver modular, scalable tools. These solutions included full UI modernization, development of no-code platforms, real-time interaction layers, and configurable dashboards—all built on reusable frameworks.
The resulting platform has since been deployed by ASCon in high-profile industrial projects, including work with Daimler and BMW, to support manufacturing process data management and Digital Twin-driven production strategies.
Gloster’s teams weren’t just implementers—they proactively shaped core product architecture, designing user-focused solutions, and introducing frameworks now foundational to ASCon’s operations.
The teams delivered prototypes in as little as two weeks and reduced the dependency on hardcoded configurations by enabling no-code customization. These innovations reduced both the total cost of delivery and the risk profile for client rollouts.
Karsten Buch, Head of Application Engine Development at ASCon Systems GmbH, shared this perspective on the collaboration:
"Our colleagues from [Gloster] were an indispensable help in setting up our web-based applications in the field of digital twins with Vaadin (and initially Angular). They integrated seamlessly into the internal teams and worked partly in a leading role on the software architecture, but mainly as software developers. They impressed us with their expertise and professional commitment, while also contributing to the collegial atmosphere within the projects. Due to the company's development, we were unfortunately unable to continue employing them, but we would like to express our sincere thanks for their valuable support and are happy to recommend them to others."

ASCon was able to extend its internal capabilities by leveraging Gloster’s cross-functional teams. The collaboration supported effective coordination between ASCon’s engineering and business teams, contributing to efficient delivery cycles. Reusable tools also reduced long-term maintenance overhead.
Gloster’s involvement helped ASCon position its platform as a flexible, scalable solution capable of serving diverse markets. The real-time interaction features and reusable UI frameworks emerged as important differentiators for client delivery—especially in automotive, utilities, and smart infrastructure contexts.
Gloster continues to be a preferred development partner for ASCon, and these capabilities are now being adapted for clients in automotive, energy, and smart infrastructure, further expanding their impact.
